Unity plugin

Zetta 3D, inside the Unity Editor

Make 3D models and bring them into your project without leaving Unity — and build your game with an AI agent that reads your scene, writes C# and checks its own work.

Free to install, for Unity 2022.3 LTS and Unity 6. What you make uses your Zetta 3D account, as on the web — and the agent can run on your own API key from Gemini, OpenAI, DeepSeek or Claude.

Version 0.6.0 · Editor only — nothing is added to your game build

Install

Installed in three steps

  • Unity 2022.3 LTS or newer — Unity 6 recommended
  • Git installed on your computer
  • A Zetta 3D account
  1. Open the Package Manager

In Unity, Window › Package Manager.

  2. Add from a Git URL

Click + at the top left, then Add package from git URL…, paste the address below and click Add.

  3. Sign in

The 3D Studio window opens on its own. Click Sign in with your browser, then Connect Unity on zetta3d.ai.

https://github.com/ig-shadow-walker/zetta-Unity3DPlugin.git

This link always installs the latest release — version 0.6.0 today. To update, add the package again from the same link. A team that wants everyone on the same build can pin a version by adding #v0.6.0 to the end of it.

Unity downloads everything the plugin needs with it. Signing in happens in your browser, so the Editor never sees a password, and the session is kept on your computer rather than in the project — it never ends up in version control. Installing, updating and fixing problems.

What you get

Four windows, one account

Everything you make in Unity is in your library on zetta3d.ai, and everything you made there shows up in Unity. Each window’s header links to the other three.

3D Studio

Every tool from the web Studio, docked

Generate, retopologise, segment, lay out UVs, texture, rig and convert — the same engines and settings as on zetta3d.ai.

My Generations

Your library, inside the Editor

Everything you have made, on the web or in Unity. Import it with one click, or drag it straight into the Scene view.

Pipelines

Recipes, run on many inputs

The same node canvas as on the web. Build a recipe once and run it on up to 20 pictures or models at a time.

Agent

A teammate that knows Unity

Reads your scene and scripts, writes C#, builds prefabs and materials, tests in Play Mode — and makes the art it needs. On your Zetta account, or your own API key.

3D Studio

Every Studio tool, docked

The same engines and every option the web Studio has, in a window beside your Scene view — with the same plan rules and prices.

  • Generate 3DText, a picture or several views to a 3D model, on Zetta N1 or N2.5
  • Smart 3DClean, game-ready topology from the start, on Zetta Np1 or Np1.5
  • SegmentSplit a model into named parts, or let Smart Segment decide them
  • RetopologyRebuild a mesh at a polygon budget, as triangles or quads
  • Smart UVA clean UV layout, keeping the textures, rig and animation
  • TextureRe-texture from a description or a reference picture, up to 8K
  • Auto RigHumanoids, animals and creatures — including Unity Humanoid bone names
  • ConvertFBX, glTF, OBJ, USDZ, STL or 3MF, with pivot, scale and axis options
  • Image StudioGenerate, edit and compose images, saved as textures or sprites

3D Studio in Unity, on Generate 3D — the web Studio’s engines and settings, with Import into project and Place in the open scene above the button.

Import

Into your project in one click

No download, no unzip, no import dialog. A finished model is imported, set up and — if you like — placed in the open scene.

  • Finished models import into Assets/Zetta3D/Models — the folder is yours to change
  • With Place in scene on, a model lands in the open scene, resting on the ground
  • Drag any model from My Generations into the Scene view or the Hierarchy
  • Models already in the project are marked In project, with Show and Place
  • GLB comes in through glTFast; FBX if you prefer it, set once in Settings

My Generations in Unity: everything made on the web or in the Editor. The chest is already in the project, so it offers Show and Place instead of Import.

The Zetta Agent

A teammate that knows Unity

Tell it what you want in plain words, the way you would brief a teammate. It plans the work, does it in the Editor with Unity’s own tools, and checks the result.

  1. Understand

With every message it gets a picture of your project — Unity version, render pipeline, input system, packages, open scenes, hierarchy, selection and compile errors — and reads further where the task needs it.

  2. Plan

It works out what to change, following the conventions already in your project rather than its own.

  3. Build

It makes the changes with Unity’s own tools, one visible step at a time in the chat — scripts, objects, components, prefabs, materials.

  4. Check

It waits for scripts to compile and fixes errors, reads the Console, enters Play Mode and looks at the Scene or Game view — then tells you what it did.

What it can do

Scripts
Writes and edits C#, waits for compilation and fixes its own errors
Scenes and objects
Creates, moves, renames, reparents and deletes GameObjects; creates and saves scenes
Components
Adds and removes components and sets any serialized property
Prefabs and materials
Saves prefabs and creates materials for your render pipeline
Testing
Enters and exits Play Mode, reads the Console, looks at the Game view
3D models and images
Generates models, runs the finishing tools, draws images, imports and places them
Pipelines
Builds a pipeline from a description, runs it and imports what it makes

Things to ask it

  • “Add a third-person player controller with a follow camera.”
  • “Give every enemy a health bar above its head that turns red when it’s low.”
  • “The enemies walk through walls — find out why and fix it.”
  • “Generate a low-poly treasure chest and put it next to the player.”
  • “Build a pipeline that generates, retopologises, textures and rigs these five props.”

Point it at things with @ — here Coin.cs and the HUD. A tag is sent as the item’s address, and the agent opens it itself.

You stay in charge

Safe to let it work

Everything can be undone

Every change goes on the Undo stack, named after what it did, so Edit › Undo takes it back.

It asks first

By default it shows a card and waits for your OK before it deletes anything, makes or processes a 3D model, or runs a pipeline.

Ask mode changes nothing

Switch to Ask and it reads your project and answers questions — explains code, finds things — without touching a file.

Stop means stop

Stop, or Esc, ends whatever it is doing straight away. Nothing starts again until you send a new message.

It keeps notes and a brief for each project — what the game is, its conventions, the decisions you have made — and you can see, edit or delete any of it under Memory.

The Zetta Agent mid-task: it has inspected the player and read the shooting script, and shows a card asking which prefab the gun should fire, how fast, and anything else about the smoke trail
Before changing anything it is unsure of, it asks — a slot for the prefab, options for the speed, a box for the rest — then carries on.

Model and key

Your Zetta account, or your own API key

The first menu under the message box says what the agent runs on. Leave it on Zetta Account and Auto sizes every message, or bring a key from Gemini, OpenAI, DeepSeek or Claude and pick the exact model yourself.

Zetta Account

Included with your plan

  • On Auto, each message goes to the right model with the right amount of thinking
  • Or pick Fast, Capable or Intelligent, and a thinking level from none to Max, yourself
  • When a job turns out longer than it looked, or keeps hitting errors, Auto steps up mid-task
  • Uses your AI token allowance; making 3D models and pictures uses credits

Your own API key

Gemini, OpenAI, DeepSeek or Claude — on any plan

  • Paste a key in Unity › Settings › Zetta 3D — it is checked straight away
  • Pick the provider, any of its models and a thinking level under the message box
  • What the agent uses is billed by that provider, not in Zetta credits
  • Switch back to Zetta Account in the same menu, any time
The Zetta Agent running on the user's own OpenAI key: the menus under the message box read OpenAI, GPT-6.1 Sol and Medium thinking, after the agent added health bars to every enemy
On your own key: the provider, its model and a thinking level, under the message box. The same first menu switches back to Zetta Account.
Unity Preferences, Zetta 3D, the Zetta Agent account section: Run the agent on My own API keys, with a saved key for Gemini, OpenAI, DeepSeek and Claude, each with Check key, Replace and Remove
Unity › Settings › Zetta 3D: one row per provider. Save a key and it is checked straight away.
Kept on your computer
In the macOS Keychain, Windows Credential Manager or the Linux keyring — never in Unity’s preferences or your project, so it never reaches version control.
Never saved on our servers
It travels with each message, through Zetta 3D to the provider you chose, and is used only to run that message.
Pictures only where the model sees
For a model that cannot read pictures, Scene and Game turn off, and the agent tells you before sending a file it cannot open.
Problems say so
A wrong key, an empty balance or a model the provider no longer offers shows in the chat, with Open settings to fix it.

3D Pipelines

The same recipes, run from Unity

Chain the Studio’s tools on a node canvas — generate, retopologise, texture, rig — and run the recipe on up to 20 pictures or models at once, Manual or Auto. Runs keep going on the server even if Unity is closed, and the finished models import straight into your project. They are the same pipelines as on zetta3d.ai.

The Pipelines node canvas in Unity: picture seed, remove background, Generate 3D, retopology, AI texturing and auto rig, with the Generate 3D step's settings open
A pipeline in Unity: picture → remove background → Generate 3D → retopology → AI texturing → auto rig, with the Generate 3D step’s settings open.

What it does not do

  • Gaussian splats and worlds are listed in My Generations, but Unity cannot use them — they open on zetta3d.ai
  • It installs from a Git URL, so Git has to be installed; it is not on the Unity Asset Store
  • Your own API key covers the agent only — making 3D models and pictures always uses Zetta credits
  • Unity 2022.3 LTS is the oldest version it supports
  • Source-available, not open source: you can read and audit the code, not modify or redistribute it

Questions

What people ask about the plugin

Is the Unity plugin free?

The package is free to install. What you make with it uses your Zetta 3D account exactly as the web does: generating and processing models uses credits, and the agent’s work uses your AI token allowance. Your plan’s limits apply in Unity as they do on zetta3d.ai — or run the agent on your own API key, and its work is billed by that provider instead.

Can I use my own Gemini, OpenAI, DeepSeek or Claude key?

Yes, on any plan. Paste the key in Unity › Settings › Zetta 3D, then pick the provider, one of its models and a thinking level under the agent’s message box. The agent’s work is billed by that provider rather than in Zetta credits; making 3D models and pictures still uses credits. Zetta Account stays in the same menu, so you can switch back at any time.

Where is my API key kept?

On your computer, in the macOS Keychain, Windows Credential Manager or the Linux keyring — not in Unity’s preferences or your project. It is sent to Zetta 3D only to run your messages and is never saved on our servers.

Which Unity versions does it support?

Unity 2022.3 LTS or newer, with Unity 6 recommended. The agent reads which render pipeline your project uses — Built-in, URP or HDRP — and builds materials for that one.

Does it add anything to my game build?

No. It is an Editor package: it runs inside the Unity Editor and is left out of the game you build. The models you import are ordinary assets in your project and stay there if you remove the plugin.

Will the agent change my project without asking?

By default it asks before it deletes anything, makes or processes a 3D model, or runs a pipeline, and every change it makes is on the Undo stack. Ask mode reads and answers without changing anything, and Stop or Esc ends it immediately. Full autonomy is there if you want it, and it notes every step it approved for itself.

Does it upload my whole project?

No. The agent sends what the task needs — a summary of your project’s setup, the parts of the scene and the scripts it reads, Console messages and any view it captures. Something you tag is sent as its address, not a copy, and the agent opens it itself.

Can my team share the agent’s project memory?

Yes. The project id the agent’s memory is tied to lives in ProjectSettings/Zetta3DSettings.json — commit that file and everyone on the team shares one project memory.

Is there a plugin for Unreal Engine or Godot?

Both are coming. Until then, every model downloads as GLB or FBX, which both engines import.
